Brand name creation
Developing brand names for companies, products and services. Structured. Creative. Internationally screened.

Creativity is not chance. It is the result of structure and experience.
Name creation is the moment in the naming process when strategic requirements turn into actual names.
At INCREON Naming, name development follows a clear principle: we create along the requirements profile agreed in the naming strategy. Creation combines open work with ideas, words and word elements from different languages with systematic evaluation – linguistic, legal, strategic.
What emerges at the end is not a collection of ideas, but a substantiated selection: every name reasoned, screened, registrable.
How brand names are created at INCREON.
Every name creation begins with the entire naming team knowing the key points of the naming strategy: positioning, type of name, target markets, protection requirements. Only then does the creative space open up.
Semantic fields and idea spaces
In the first phase, the team works with methods that deliberately open the creative range wide: mind mapping, semantic intuition, associative combinatorics. Words, word elements and syllables from different languages and subject areas are collected, combined, broken apart and reassembled.
In this phase, what counts is volume rather than perfection.
Narrowing down and selection
The ideas from the first creative rounds form a longlist that is filtered systematically: does the idea spark? How can it be developed further? Does the name fit the strategy? Which variations are possible? Is it pronounceable in the target markets? Can it be protected as a trademark?
With every round, candidates are dropped, altered or developed further, until a shortlist emerges that not only convinces creatively but can also hold up legally and linguistically.
Evaluation and recommendation
The shortlisted candidates are assessed comprehensively: linguistic screening in all relevant languages, clearance searches in the trademark registers, strategic fit, brand story.
What we put before the client is not a selection based on taste. It is a reasoned recommendation, every name with its derivation, assessment and evaluation.
„The best names sound inevitable. But that sense of inevitability is the result of work, not luck.”
Company names, product names, technology names – what sets them apart.
Not every name creation follows the same logic. A company name has to carry an entire organization, across decades, across markets, across product cycles. A product name can be narrower, more specific, more immediately understandable. A technology name often sits between technical language and marketing promise.
What always stays the same is the process. Analysis, strategy, creation, evaluation, protection. What changes is the focus within that process, the weighting of the criteria, the creative stance. A company name calls for different questions and different answers than a product name.
